About Us

  • This 7-day private tour follows the Atlantic coast of Morocco from south to north (or the reverse), through towns built by Phoenicians, Portuguese, Jews, French, Berbers and Arabs, with stops on busy and on lonely beaches alike.
  • You start in Agadir with a day in Paradise Valley, a green oasis with waterfalls and natural pools.
  • You then drive up the windy coast through the surf town of Taghazout, the Cap Rhir lighthouse and the small fishing port of Imsouane to the white seaside town of Essaouira.
  • Two nights here let you visit the old port and ramparts, the medina and the Jewish mellah with a local guide, and add water sports, horse riding, a camel sunset at Cap Sim or a cooking class on a free day.
  • Further north we drive along high cliffs and reach Safi, known for its Portuguese heritage and colourful pottery, then the small lagoon town of Oualidia famous for its oysters.
  • The last day takes you through the fertile Doukkala plain to El Jadida, with its huge Portuguese cistern and old walled town, and on to Casablanca for the airport or for an extra night.

Experience Itinerary

  1. 1

Day 1 — Agadir and Paradise Valley

    • Your driver picks you up in the morning at your Agadir hotel.
    • We drive north along the coast and then inland to Paradise Valley, a green canyon with palm trees, small waterfalls and natural pools where you can swim.
    • We take a short, easy walk along the river and have lunch in Immouzer in the valley.
    • We are back in Agadir in the late afternoon.
    • We suggest watching the sunset on the seafront or at the old Kasbah on the hill, and choosing one of the seafood restaurants near the marina for dinner.
    • Overnight in a boutique hotel with pool.
  2. 2

Day 2 — Agadir to Essaouira

    • After breakfast we drive 4 hours north along the wild Atlantic coast.
    • We pass the famous surfer spots of Taghazout and the Cap Rhir lighthouse.
    • In summer we stop for lunch in the quiet fishing port of Imsouane (2.5 hours from Agadir) in a beach café; in winter we drive on to Essaouira for a late lunch there.
    • The road also crosses small market towns and the unique argan forest, where these trees grow nowhere else in the world.
    • Overnight in a riad in the medina or in a guesthouse near the beach.
  3. 3

Day 3 — Essaouira guided tour

    • Half-day guided tour of Essaouira.
    • We visit the old port with its blue fishing boats, the medina (a UNESCO site), the skala (the old fortified ramparts with rows of cannons) and the mellah (Jewish quarter).
    • Essaouira was the main port of Morocco for many years, run by the Sultan's Jewish traders.
    • We suggest a fish lunch in a small restaurant by the harbour.
    • The afternoon is free for shopping or to add an activity, such as quad biking, camel or horse riding on the beach, water sports, or a sunset ride to Cap Sim and the ruined Sultan's Palace.
    • Overnight in the riad or guesthouse.
  4. 4

Day 4 — Free day in Essaouira

    • A second free day in the relaxed white town.
    • You can shop in the souks, visit the small art galleries, drink coffee on a terrace, or eat fresh fish at the harbour grills.
    • Optional activities (please book 48 hours ahead): cooking class, walk in the countryside, more detailed tour of the UNESCO medina, beach walks, hammam or spa treatments.

Day 5 — Essaouira to Oualidia via Safi

    • We drive north from Essaouira along the Atlantic coast road for about 2 hours, with wide views over windsurfers and fishermen on the rocky points.
    • A simple fish lunch on the clifftop at Sidi Bouzdid in Safi, a town famous for its Portuguese past and its colourful pottery.
    • After another 1.5 hours by the sea we reach the small fishing town of Oualidia, well-known for its fresh oysters and its calm lagoon.
    • Seafood dinner included.
    • Overnight in a beach guesthouse or in a classic 5-star hotel.
